The founder of Shop T.A. reveals the serum she relies on to keep her complexion clear.
Boutique Owner Telsha Anderson Keeps Blemishes in Check With This Soothing Serum
In the head-spinning age of multistep skin-care routines and mic-drop makeup launches, The One is a space for minimalists to sound off on a single beauty product that has had a longtime spot in their carefully curated routines.
Telsha Anderson is working to redefine luxury with her concept boutique, Shop T.A., a Manhattan shop filled with modern brands such as Barragán and Brother Vellies. “My favorite thing about what I do is learning and producing on my own terms,” the Akron-born business owner tells Vogue. “I’m blessed to have a business that’s reliant on me and my ideas.”
When she’s not busy running her store, Anderson makes time for self-care by applying a similar approach to her skin-care regimen. “I love to be open and trying new products and new skin-care routines,” she says of the beauty outlook that’s worked for her thus far. “As I get older, my skin changes, and what worked for me one year ago doesn’t necessarily work for me in the next year or even the next few months.”
Even as her skin evolves, Anderson has noticed a constant: “the random blemishes I get because they come with stress or change.” To ward those off, Anderson has found her desert-island product: Rose Ingleton M.D.’s Blemish Control Booster. “It’s helped my face tremendously and fought blemish battles I didn’t see coming,” Anderson says. “It’s paired with a moisturizer, and I use both religiously.” The vegan serum, formulated by dermatologist Rose Ingleton, works to calm inflammation with ingredients like turmeric and niacinamide. “I was hesitant about using serums because I hadn’t found anything that worked well for me until now,” Andrson enthuses. “I can’t live without it.”
