The 5 New Beauty Arrivals We’re Shopping This Month

Vogue’s Beauty & Wellness Director sifts through this month’s best new launches.

My home has multitasked as many things over the last 14 months: office, gym, movie theater, nursery school. But its primary function—if designated square footage is any indication—is as a beauty closet, as my husband often laments. Ever since we began working remotely, the steady stream of new product launches that once flooded the Vogue offices now piles up in my home/office/gym/movie theater/nursery school, which is to say: I see a lot of new beauty products every month. Like, a lot.

The process of unboxing and categorizing these individual launches (makeup, skincare, haircare, fragrance, etc.), and then breaking down and recycling the packaging has become almost like a reflex: I’m quick with a boxcutter and even quicker when it comes to discerning what will/not make it into our pages. But every so often, a product rises to the top of the UPS and FedEx heap, earning it a coveted spot on my viewing table/kitchen counter/coffee table/bathroom window ledge. From an innovative new lipstick texture and a circulation-boosting herbal tincture to an elevated room spray, these are the five products I’m loving this month.

Rose Hermès Rosy Lip Enhancer in Rose Abricoté

You could put anything into an Hermès box and I’d want it. But the French house’s refillable lipstick cases designed by Pierre Hardy are particularly covetable, as is this new formula. Available in three translucent colors, the matte balm has a super light texture that is best described as waxy with a soft-focus finish. It glides on, leaving just a trace of sheer color, which means it can be appropriately worn to future work lunches—or current work lunches with your toddler.

Tata Harper Superkind Radiance Mask

I have loved Tata Harper—the founder, and the brand—since she revolutionized the idea of eco-chic beauty 14 years ago. Long before “clean” products had a section at Sephora, Harper was distilling her own botanical ingredients at her stunning farm in Vermont. But my skin can’t always handle these potent natural actives, which is why I was disproportionately excited about the launch of her new Superkind collection. The three-piece line is free of fragrance and essential oils, which means sensitive types can benefit from this gentle, highly effective, exfoliating mask without worrying about irritation.

In Fiore Lâche-Lymphe Herbal Tincture

Despite the wellness industry’s recent supplement boom, I’m extremely picky about herbal tinctures and capsules and typically only take those prescribed to me by my own herbalist. But In Fiore founder Julie Elliott is an insanely talented natural product developer (she helped create Vintner’s daughter’s cult-favorite oil, and her own Fleur Vibrante Serum is similarly essential), so when she teamed up on a new line of three herbal tinctures with Kevin Spelman, Ph.D., a molecular biologist and phytochemist who specializes in medicinal plants, I was intrigued. Designed to enhance blood flow to help move stagnant lymph and boost skin clarity, this formula also claims to have psychospiritual benefits, including offering protection from  “negative influences and thought-forms.” Who doesn’t need that right now?

Frederic Malle Russian Nights Perfume Gun

What better way to optimize your home/office/gym/movie theater/nursery school than with the latest Frederic Malle scent to get his perfume gun treatment? Designed to mist fine fragrance with the ease of Febreeze-like packaging, the clever spray bottle releases delicate bursts of this spicy, sandalwood scent that smells of sipping tea on a snowy night at Moscow’s Café Pushkin. I’ve had more than enough snow this year, but I’ll take a transportative international travel moment however I can get it.
