The Beauty at Emporio Armani’s Anniversary Show Was Both Elegant and Modern

From slicked-back chignons to high-shine eyelids, the Emporio Armani beauty look felt fresh and chic.

Celebrating the brand’s 40th anniversary at Milan Fashion Week, Emporio Armani’s spring/summer 22 collection was an elegant and modern affair. There were cool denim separates and fun, flirty dresses, rendered in white, lavender and pale mint green, which were followed by a series of looks featuring bold floral prints and shimmering PVC discs.

As for beauty, Mr. Armani requested that models’ skin was healthy and glowing but kept matte, with the only point of luminosity being around the eyes.

“I wanted to create a new easy summer look,” says Giorgio Armani international makeup artist, Linda Cantello. “We used Armani Neo Nude Glow Foundation in two different shades to add a healthy natural matte finish to the skin. Then Neo Nude Melting Colour Balm in shade #20 was swept over the eyelids.”

To create luminosity, Cantello mixed pigments and bases from the mobile Armani Beauty Lab to create a bespoke high-shine Eye Tint, which acted as a gloss over the eyelid. And to finish the eyes off, she applied two coats of the Armani Eyes to Kill Classico Mascara, and enhanced lips with Armani Lip Power in various shades.

Meanwhile, the hair felt modern and clean, slicked-back into a sleek chignon at the nape of the neck.
