SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic ($166)

Let 2020 be the year I finally gave into expensive skincare and thankfully wasn't disappointed. After hearing rave reviews of C E Ferulic from my colleagues, I decided to splurge on the $166 product. It has become my favorite beauty buy of 2020, hands down. Just a few drops leaves my skin looking glowy and feeling so soft. My skin looks so much more presentable on Zoom calls now thanks to this serum––I don't really bother putting on makeup most days.

Buf-Puf Reusable Facial Sponge ($31)

Sara and Erin Foster's 89-year-old grandma turned pretty much everyone onto the Buf-Puf sponge this year. The youthful-looking Anita Marshall swears by this affordable skincare secret––she's been using it for over 40 years. We do have to note that the sponge might not work for people with sensitive skin, as it's a serious mechanical exfoliator.

Thayers Alcohol-Free Cucumber Witch Hazel Facial Toner ($11)

Thayers's facial toner is gentle on skin, so it won't irritate or dry it out like other toners might. The Cucumber version is so calming and redness reducing.

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution ($7)

This exfoliator from The Ordinary is a great buy in so many ways. First, it really works to clear pores, brighten skin, and reduce the look of fine lines. Second, at under $10, it's a total steal.

iS Clinical Cleansing Complex ($44)

Associate beauty editor Courtney Higgs (and many of our readers) swear by IS Clinical's Cleansing Complex. "I used to put way less emphasis on the quality of my cleanser (after all, it's quite literally money down the drain), but this is the gel that changed the game for me," Higgs says. "It's silky and slippery, so it clings to all sorts of makeup and grime to remove it with ease. The best part is that my face never feels tight or overly dry after I use it—just really, really clean."

Sunday Riley Good Genes All-in-One Lactic Acid Treatment ($85)

This popular find uses lactic acid to exfoliate dead skin cells and licorice to brighten skin and reduce the appearance of dark spots and discoloration. Apply one to three pumps to clean skin and leave on or rinse off after 15 minutes if you have sensitive skin.

Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels ($33)

In 10 minutes, you can de-puff your eyes and look more awake thanks to these under-eye gels. They’re infused with peptides and botanicals to diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles and improve blood flow.

Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream ($265)

Yes, The Rich Cream is a huge splurge, but a little bit goes a long way in moisturizing your skin. It's got a cult following among celebs and editors alike since it's formulated with skin-supportive lipids; a cocktail of amino acids, vitamins, and synthesized molecules; and botanical oils like argan, evening primrose, and avocado.

SkinCeuticals A.G.E. Eye Complex ($98)

This eye cream has a huge following because of its potent and powerful formula. Ingredients like blueberry extract, flavonoids, peptides, and optical diffusers work to prevent fine lines and wrinkles, firm the eye area, and reduce dark circles.

Rosenice Gua Sha ($11)

A gua sha tool can help promote blood circulation and move lymph fluid on your face. Using it to massage your face will leave you with glowy, energized, and healthy-looking skin.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil ($21)

This olive oil–based cleanser easily removes dirt and makeup from the skin without drying it out. It's made without soap and fragrance, so it won't cause any irritation. It's rich in other antioxidants, too.

TruSkin Vitamin C Serum ($20)

We discovered this $20 serum on Amazon after noticing it had a crazy amount of good reviews––over 40,000 ratings and 4.5 out of 5 stars to be exact. In addition to vitamin C, it's formulated with botanical hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, witch hazel, and jojoba oil. Reviewers say it has transformed their skin, making it brighter, smoother, and blemish-free.

Drunk Elephant Lippe Balm ($18)

One of the best "clean" options out there, Drunk Elephant's Lippe Balm is so moisturizing and nourishing. Avocado, mongongo, and marula oils replenish and soften lips, while peptides and sea fern algae have plumping benefits. No wonder it's a best seller!

Timeless Skin Care Coenzyme Q10 Serum ($20)

Coenzyme Q10 is an antioxidant that plays a role in the production of collagen and elastin. Using this serum will firm and smooth your skin. Other helpful ingredients include Matrixyl 3000, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin E.

EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 ($36)

EltaMD's sunscreens are always recommended by dermatologists, so you know you're getting a quality product that's good for your skin. This one protects against harmful UVA and UVB rays, and it contains sodium hyaluronate for moisturizing powers and lactic acid to clear pores and reduce shine.

Aztec Secret Healing Indian Clay ($13)

Another cult favorite you can find on Amazon, this clay can be used as a mask to deep clean your pores. You can also use it as a hair mask, bath soak, and even deodorant.

Glossier Bubblewrap ($26)

Glossier's popular Bubblewrap cream can be used on both the eye and lip areas. The lightweight product hydrates the skin without leaving a greasy finish. It has ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, squalane, avocado oil, and blueberry extract.

RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream ($16)

RoC's night cream is a long-standing favorite because it's cheaper than many of its luxe counterparts but has the same level of effectiveness. Along with retinol, it has a mineral complex to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and firm and lift skin.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water ($15)

Beloved French drugstore brand Bioderma's micellar water has so many uses––it can remove makeup, cleanse, and calm the skin. It's a beauty cabinet essential.

Embryolisse Lait Crème Concentré ($28)

Another French skincare import, this concentrate used to be called a "miracle cream," and there's a good reason why. The fast-absorbing product hydrates, repairs the skin barrier, and promotes elasticity.
