33 Perfect Spring Buys From Mango, Free People and ASOS

There's just something about being plunged into the depths of winter (snow and all) that really makes me fed up with cold-weather clothing. How about you? This week, while bundled up in blankets, shearling slippers and beanie hats for our Zoom calls, the team has been edging ever closer to investing in new-season pieces rather than additional layers to protect us against the inclement weather. We've even gone so far as to dream about summer sandals trends and the joyful printed dresses we'll be aiming to wear ASAP. Spring is on our minds and in our online baskets, and fortunately, there are plenty of suitable new-in drops arriving to fulfil the virtual window shopping we've been doing a lot of.

But where's looking the best? Well, I know you'll always find some trusty pieces in Zara, H&M or & Other Stories, but there are a few other corners of the digital high street that are looking pretty strong too. I've noticed that Mango's offering (particularly when it comes to shoes and knits) feels very premium; Free People are nailing it for those of us who just want to jump headfirst into a bohemian summer adventure (even if it's in our back gardens, in February); and ASOS Design has just introduced a host of really pared-back, interesting staples like mink-coloured cardigans and slinky olive-green satin dresses.

I'm envisaging this with '70s flares and a neat, sharp-collared shirt.

The perfect little bag for summer walks and picnic days.

Even if you're working from home, I'd say a loose-fitting trouser suit is still a solid spring buy.

The matching trousers would also look great with a chunky knit.

And talking of chunky knits, how amazing is this?

Loafers are enjoying yet another moment in the sun, and those with chain detailing are particularly de riguer.

It's the kind of subtle, vintage-looking dress that you'll get years and years of wear out of.

I'm SO ready to get out of my boring black puffer coat, but this is really quite special for bracing walks.

Ballon-leg jeans are the mid-point between super-baggy and uncomfortable straight-legs—that's probably why they're becoming more and more popular.

Never met a chain necklace I didn't like, but this one is particularly unique.

Because one day it will be hot again, and we will wear heels again. These will be my weapon of choice when the time comes.

The coolest vegan suede jacket I've ever seen.

I mean, it'd be lunacy to wear this right now, but it will be so beautiful during the warmer months.

The kind of all-but-the-kitchen-sink tote bag that still manages to look fashion forward.

I'm not sure whether it's the location talking me into this or the retro collared neck, happy orange hue and bohemian ribbed jersery…

Sweater-vests are continuing to trend, but I'm more of a fan when they're shrunken and neat like this one rather than oversized and heavy.

Add slippers and a big mug of tea, and you have yourself a perfect lounging ensemble.

This knit reminds me of a really old Celine collection, and that's why I keep coming back to it. Think it should be mine.

Clogs are coming for our wardrobes, and I'm not mad about it at all. 

100% comfort and yet 100% cool too. 

This kind of delicate, balletic tie-up detailing is going to be everywhere for summer 2021—trust me.

ASOS

The cut-out feature on this makes it look a lot more luxe than £16. 

I love how this is actually quite versatile: Layer with a roll-neck underneath and chunky boots for now.

Chic with jeans but also cute with a slip skirt.

A good trench never fails your wardrobe, especially during spring and autumn.

I'm all about fisherman sandals for summer, and I like that these have a little extra height for my 5'1'' frame.

Add a straw hat and a punnet of lavender.
