40 Celebrity Bangs for Inspiration - Fringe Benefits

When it comes to fringes there's almost always a fringe to suit every face shape. Be it heart, square or even the dreaded round face-fringe-combo, with our edit of the best celeb bangs, you'll find your perfect fringe style in no time. Trust.

'Pretty much everyone suits a fringe, it’s all about where the fringe ends,' says pro hairstylist Zoe Irwin. 'Whether it’s a long fringe that accentuates the cheek bones or brow skimming, the most important thing is working it to fit the face shape and the jaw line.'

So how can you update the classic fringe for 2021? 'Super cropped, chopped fringes are a big thing for 2021,' says Irwin. 'Fringes work really well with super long hair and also French girl bobs. Fringes should be worn either half way through the forehead, resting on the brow, or with a 1960s vibe where the centre is shorter and the sides are two or three centimetres longer.'

In teasers for the upcoming Harry Potter 20th anniversary: Return to Hogwarts Watson is seen sporting a micro-fringe, with the ends of her hair finishing across the middle of her forehead. And just like anything Watson does, we're feeling inspired for 2022.

Alessandra has had a fringe for a long time and we reckon it possibly looks its best in a high pony. The layered look she's sporting has a certain 'supermodel-of-the90s' look about it, which we're not complaining about.

Rihanna is constantly changing her hair – her oval face shape means she suits most hairstyles. This fringe is the thing that stops her new lob from being mumsy.

Georgia May Jagger

Georgia May Jagger's graded fringe is the ultimate in '70s swinging chic. Wouldn't look out of place with bell bottoms and a denim jumpsuit.

Help tame an unruly fringe (and add some well placed VS model style wings) by bending pieces of hair to frame your face using hair straighteners.

Erin O'Connor

Erin O'Connor's sharp, angled features could have made this blunt hair cut and fringe look too harsh, but as with most things the supermodel does, she pulls it off with panache.

Jennifer Garner

That fringe + cute smile = perfect girl next door look. The balayage keeps it looking modern and all you need is a good quality hairdryer to blowdry that fringe seriously smooth.
