As the fall season creeps its way closer, you may be thinking about dusting off your boots once again and retiring your open-toe shoes. Unless you’re Adriana Lima, that is, in which case you can have both at the same time. In fact, she may have found fall’s most controversial shoe choice all together: Sky-high stilettos fusing a bootie and a flip flop.
Styled by Erin Walsh, Lima wore a LOL cropped tank top and Stella McCartney pants in her Instagram post on Sunday—but it was her Givenchy shoes that stole the show. The Frankenstein-like shoe strangely works. Ugly-chic footwear is on the rise in general, haven’t you heard? Victoria Beckham has also worn a similar pair in the past, so it seems celebrities are officially on board. The question is, are you brave enough to rock them, or are they so outré that only a supermodel can pull them off? We say go for it.
