Another Mini 'Friends' Reunion Just Happened

Two 'Friends' stars linked up after the HBO Max special.

Hold up, Friends fans. It's only been a day since the Friends reunion special dropped on HBO Max, but there's already been another one!

On May 27, the same day the reunion aired, Lisa Kudrow posted a sweet selfie with her former costar, David Schwimmer. “Tonight…That's how long we waited to get together,” Kudrow wrote in the caption. “Thanks @_schwim_.”

While only the actors who portrayed Phoebe Buffay and Ross Geller seemed to be present for the get-together, two more Friends stars expressed their love in the comments. “Love you two so much! ❤️,” Jennifer Aniston wrote in response, while Courteney Cox replied, “Awww I love you [guys]!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

Of course, fans of the long-running '90s sitcom were thrilled to see two of their faves together again so soon. “My heart is so happy to see this picture,” one fan replied. “Could I love you any more???”

“If you guys are having a reunion watching party I'll cry,” another added with a bunch of emojis.

The entire main cast of Friends (and a bunch of guest stars) reunited for a reunion special, which was filmed in April 2021. During the walk down memory lane, each of the actors shared some never-before-heard details about shooting the series and Kudrow even sang “Smelly Cat” with Lady Gaga.

However, the juiciest revelation came from Schwimmer and Aniston, who apparently harbored secret crushes on one another while portraying one of the most iconic ships in television history. “The first season I had a major crush on Jen,” Schwimmer said, to which Aniston responded, “It was reciprocated.”

“I think at some point we were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship, and we never crossed that boundary,” Schwimmer explained, saying, “We respected that.” Apparently, things never went any further than heart-eyes.

Aniston added, “I remember saying one time to David, ‘It’s gonna be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television.’”

Okay, is it too soon to ask for another reunion special? Maybe a movie?!
