The pop superstar brightened up her week with an illuminating look.
Ariana Grande Puts a Versace Twist on Summer’s Key Color
If you were wondering how married life is treating Ariana Grande, just look at the pop superstar’s social media accounts. On Instagram, Grande has been keeping fans updated on every new project and outfit, displaying her fashion prowess with pieces that take the babydoll look she’s known for into fresh territory. Last week that meant croc-effect Tom Ford cowboy boots worn with one of Cult Gaia’s floral silhouette tops, a chic-yet-unexpected combination. Grande and stylist Mimi Cuttrell delivered another showstopper yesterday when they pulled out a complete look from Versace’s fall/winter 2021 collection. Grande was at her glamorous best in a bright yellow mini dress, square toe platform Mary Janes, and logo-covered tights.
A bold integration of Pantone’s punchy color of the year, Illumination, the yellow cap-sleeved, belted dress was impossible to ignore. On the runway, model Rianne van Rompaey wore the look with a headscarf and plenty of pastel eyeshadow, but Grande tends to complete her outfits with bling. Her Bulgari Serpenti gold ring was decked out in pavé diamonds, as were her matching B.Zero1 spiral earrings. Grande polished things off with a final piece of Versace, the brand’s geometric Greca chain choker.
After previewing her head-to-toe yellow look on Instagram, Grande wore it on The Late Late Show with James Corden, where she and the host indulged their inner-theater geeks with a special song, “No Lockdowns Anymore.” Joined by Broadway star Marissa Jaret Winokur, the trio sang about the joys of life post-vaccination. Dressed in the sunniest color imaginable as she danced down Manhattan’s streets, Grande delivered precisely the energy you’ll want to carry into reemergence.
