The cobwebs were cleared from Dolby Theatre; the red carpet dragged out of mothballs. For the first time in two years, the Oscars returned fully to their traditional home, bringing the Academy Awards’ characteristic fashion parade back to Hollywood Boulevard. Hosts Regina Hall, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes led the way; following last year’s Covid-splintered ceremonies and extended controversy around the hosting role, the trio were the first hosts of the Oscars since Jimmy Kimmel in 2018.
