Billie Eilish Met Kate Middleton, and the Pics Are Iconic

A pop princess and an IRL duchess.

Kate Middleton, meet Billie Eilish.

The Duchess of Cambridge stunned at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Tuesday, September 28, attending the premiere of the latest James Bond flick, No Time to Die. And while there, she met with the young pop star who sings the movie's theme, Billie Eilish.

It's traditional for members of the royal family to attend the premiere of James Bond movies– after all, he's a British icon. It's also traditional for a big pop act to provide the movie's signature song. Remember when Adele's “Skyfall” was everywhere?

Though the release of No Time to Die was delayed again and again because of the pandemic, the song has been out for over a year.

Eilish wrote the tune with her collaborator and brother Finneas, who also attended the premiere. No word yet on what Middleton and Eilish chatted about, but hopefully Eilish will spill next time she's on a talk show.

Both Billie and Finneas wore all-black ensembles for the premiere. Eilish recently attended the Met gala in a flowing gown but opted for a less-dramatic outfit this time around. One thing she's kept is her chin-length platinum blonde hair, styled in loose waves, with her bangs framing her face. She recently revealed one of the reasons she likes the blonde is that it's so much less recognizable than her signature green hair. “I couldn’t go anywhere with that hair because it was so obviously me. I wanted anonymity," she told Elle.

She added, “I went to a park with a friend, and I was like, ‘No, I can’t take off my hood!’" she said. "I was terrified of the paparazzi and these stalkers I’ve had. But my friend was like, ‘Don’t worry: You’re okay. Nothing’s gonna happen.’ And I took my hood off, and I felt like a new person.”
