Blake Lively Wore a Sequin Chanel Bag With an Old Disney Sweatshirt

Of course she pulled it off.

If anyone can pull off high-low dressing, it’s Blake Lively. The actor, who famously doesn’t use a stylist for her myriad red-carpet appearances, recently paired a glamorous pink gown with sneakers at the premiere of her husband’s movie Free Guy. And now she’s combined a sparkly Chanel purse with an old Disney sweatshirt. I mean, at least we can dupe one of those items at the local flea market?

Lively, who celebrated her 34th birthday at the end of August, took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday, September 7, to show off the ultimate b-day freebie: a gifted purse from Chanel.

“@chanelofficial thank you for the birthday bag. You really elevated my ‘toddler chic’ look,” she wrote, showing off a small sequined cross-body with the company’s name in pink, black, and silver sequins. We were unable to find that exact item, but another sequin-covered purse from Chanel—the Small Flap Bag—retails for $6,100, so yeah, this is a really nice gift.

Giving us a glimpse of the rest of her ensemble in the mirror, Lively showed off her distressed jeans, classic white sneakers, and a sweatshirt featuring Minnie and Mickey Mouse. Mickey carries Minnie’s shopping bags while she says something about Paris, it looks like.

Speaking of toddler chic, over the summer Lively literally let her daughter pick out her outfit, and the result was somewhere between Barbie and iconic. Her and Ryan Reynolds’s daughter Inez chose a pink-and-white dress, a pink smiley-face sweatshirt, and black stilettos with pink poms on the back for Lively to wear…at 5 a.m. These IG Stories dispatches from inside Lively’s massive walk-in closet need to be their own show. Maybe cohosted by Busy Philipps. Just spitballing here.

For her actual birthday, Lively wore a super girly “mint cherry” dress from Teuta Matoshi, which she paired with candy-apple-red loafers.
