“While you guys are talking behind my back, go ahead and kiss my ass.”
Britney Spears Hits Back at People Who Say Her Latest Instagram Photo Isn't Really Her
Britney Spears is telling haters to “back” (ha ha, this joke will make sense in a minute) off after a picture of her backside sparked debate.
The pop star recently posted a picture of her self from behind–topless–with the pointe shoe emoji in the caption. Seemed innocent enough, until eagle-eyed fans, always looking for “clues” on her ‘gram, noticed she didn’t seem to have any of her tattoos, including the recently-revealed one on the back of her neck that says “healing” in Hebrew. Amid comments like, “Where are her tattoos?” and, of course, “FREE BRITNEY,” some even suggested the picture wasn't of her. And while we aren't usually into conspiracy theories, in fairness, you can't see a face or really any distinguishing features in the picture. It could be some other woman's back.

But late on Thursday, July 8, Britney Spears took to Instagram again to set the record straight: She photoshopped her tats out of the pic, and she doesn't care how anyone feels about that. Alongside a meme of a woman giving the middle finger and the phrase “While you're talking behind my back, feel free to bend down and KISS MY ASS” she wrote, “Ok so ... I edited out my tattoo on my neck cause I wanted to see what it would look like clean 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ … and yeah I like it better so while you guys are talking behind my back go ahead and kiss my ass haters 😘🍑 !!!!!!”

If you think this clears the matter up…not so fast. The comments on the new post show that many fans don't believe Spears is in control of her account right now and didn't post this message herself. As one wrote, “Britney is never this rude.” Another day another drama, as Spears famously sings in “Piece of Me.”
