Our discoveries are nice to behold—they’re lovely to look at and inspire fun conversation—however, of all these cool things to buy what did we actually end up buying? In this new series, each month we’ll highlight those special finds our editors welcomed into their lives—all the things that gave us buyer’s rejoice.
For our initial roundup, you’ll find a balanced mix of home decor essentials (after all, we’re approaching our one-year anniversary of working from home) and a selection of cozy yet elevated fashions that keep us feeling and looking great on Zooms. We’re also highlighting the item that our Vogue readers and shoppers seemed to love most. In February, it was a striped knitted sweater by Alex Mill that’s sure to endure with its timeless appeal.

I bought this Polo Ralph Lauren cotton henley dress from our SS21 trend guide. It is incredibly comfortable (who doesn’t love a t-shirt dress!) and yet I feel pulled together when wearing it. I like to pair it with my favorite Ulla Johnson brown leather belt and Vibi Venezia brown velvet slippers—perfect for long WFH days.

These spice blends from Cravings by Chrissy Teigen are so good, I could eat them with a spoon. It’s billed as everything you need for a chicken dinner, but they’re also great sprinkled on any kind of roasted vegetables.

We’re nearing the one-year anniversary of the pandemic here in New York which also marks my own year of working remotely at home. It’s inevitable that sitting at my dining table everyday has its drawbacks and a change of scenery was needed. Thus, I finally decided to embrace working from the couch from time to time. I began searching for a suitable small, inexpensive table to work on, but couldn’t bear an unsightly TV dinner-style stand, either. Fortunately, I discovered a minimalist, under $100 version on Amazon that also matched by mid-century style interiors. Success!

I have been pretty conservative in the shopping department recently. However, when I saw these Victor Glemaud clogs, released on TheRealReal the same day as his fall 2021 collection debut, I couldn’t help myself! I have enjoyed clopping around my apartment with a cozy, chunky sock underneath. They’re also a great winter-to-spring transitional shoe.

I recently moved, so just about all of my purchases this year have been home-related. I especially love these rattan lamps I found for my bedroom—now I just need side tables!

I’ve been wanting a pair of JW Anderson mules for some time now and the only way I could justify this purchase was to promise myself to wear them in the house everyday! So far, I have stuck to my promise as they are so comfy.

I’m very late to the game on this, but only in February did I discover the wonders of a sleeveless turtleneck. The garment always puzzled me—but what about my arms? How will they stay warm? I never thought to style them under my favorite sweaters. Recently when shopping for extra layers for outdoor dining, I picked up my first sleeveless, snug-fitting turtleneck in a cashmere ivory. And now I can’t stop wearing it—my colleagues on Zoom can attest. I layer it beneath a black, deep v-neck sweater which shows off the turtleneck detail nicely. Plus, there’s only one layer on my arms so there’s no extra bulk or fidgeting around with varying sleeve lengths.

Tracee Ellis Ross’s Pattern hairline has been on my list of things to try for a long time, so I finally decided to give the conditioner a test drive, and I am completely mad at myself for not trying it sooner. The jojoba and olive oil formula instantly turns my dry strands into juicy curls. What’s even better is the extra large packaging. I am very heavy handed when it comes to conditioning my thirsty strands, but I know this large batch will last for a long time.

I am still on a sweatpant kick, but now I am looking for ones that I can secretly wear outside of my apartment. The Nike straight leg sweats have a nice little flare—if no one saw the elastic waist, I bet they’d be fooled, or at least that is what I am hoping.

Of all the cool things to buy, it seems our readers gravitated most to a sweater we highlighted in our Feels Like a Steal series. From Alex Mill, the knitted pullover featured a relaxed collar and classic breton stripes. We dubbed it two wardrobe staples in one and at $125, there’s really nothing not to like.
