Call her “Bruella.”
Cardi B Takes Style Inspo From Cruella de Vil

As someone with a closet full of vintage Chanel and luxurious Hermès Birkin bags, Cardi B is a style icon in her own right—but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t need her own fashion role models from time to time. This weekend, for instance, the rapper took style cues from Cruella de Vil, and came up with an outfit that paid homage to the iconic villainous cartoon character. (And no, that didn’t come with a coat made of Dalmatians.)
Labelling herself “Bruella de Vil,” Cardi channelled the character’s signature color scheme—red, black, and white—but incorporated it into a sleek, modern fit. The rapper wore a cropped red Givenchy jacket and paired it with a sheer black bodysuit. She then accessorized with lug sole boots (that had a red bottom!) and a colorful Chanel bag. Other accessories of note? The hefty chains that she wore around her neck, including a huge Playboy bunny pendant, and her large hoop earrings that read “Kulture” (her daughter’s name).
Now, would Cruella herself wear this ensemble? As this year’s live-action film remake starring Emma Stone showed, Cruella’s much more of a gown-wearing kind of gal. But if she did ever start a rap career, Cardi’s more streetwear-minded outfit would for sure be a front runner.
