In fashionable looks, the two actors lived up to their avant-garde TV characters.
Dan Levy and Catherine O’Hara Channel Schitt’s Creek at the Critics Choice Awards
Tonight is a big night for Schitt’s Creek at the Critics Choice Awards. The comedy series is up for five awards, including best comedy series. In attendance for the virtual affair were Dan Levy, who co-wrote the show and plays David Rose, and Catherine O’Hara, who plays Moira Rose. Both stars even channelled their characters’s avant-garde style with their own bold fashion choices.
On the show, David and Moira are known for their love of high-fashion designer clothes. David loves experimental names like Rick Owens, while Moira’s theatrical outfits often included pieces by Alexander McQueen and more. For tonight’s ceremony, Levy and O’Hara put their own stamp on these looks.
Styled by Erica Cloud, Levy wore head-to-toe Dior in David’s signature black and white color palette. The fit included a military-style, button-up jacket with utility trousers and hefty leather combat boots. O’Hara, meanwhile, channelled Moira’s love for sculptural shapes in a silk-taffeta Elie Saab cocktail dress, which had long sleeves and a tiered, ruffled skirt. Styled by Andrew Gelwicks, the ensemble also featured Christian Louboutin boots and Jacob & Co. jewelry. The outfits nodded to their beloved characters without feeling like a costume. The Roses would be proud!
