He's still her “sun and stars.”
Emilia Clarke and Jason Momoa Share Sweet 'Game of Thrones' Reunion Pics: ‘Moon of My Life’
Game of Thrones stars Emilia Clarke and Jason Momoa have reunited and it feels so good.
On August 14, the actors both posted iconic images from an epic celebration of GOT co-creator David Benioff's birthday. “When your sun and stars rolls into town you check that he can still bench press a Khaleesi,” Clarke captioned a photo of Momoa sweeping the actor off her feet. She also used hashtags that read “drinking with Drogo I'm amazed we survived” and “like he never left.”
Clarke played Danearys Targaryen for all eight seasons of the hit HBO fantasy series but continued her friendship with her on-screen love interest long after Khal Drogo was killed off in season one. The feelings are mutual. “Love u forever moon of my life ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” he commented.

Of course, Momoa's post was no less sentimental. “MOON OF MY LIFE. you are wonderful love u forever,” he wrote alongside multiple pictures with Clarke (and a couple with Benioff). He also added the sweet hashtag, “smiley eyes.”

Emilia Clarke and Jason Momoa have been besties for a long time but it appears this is their first reunion since the coronavirus pandemic began back in March 2020. Their last joint appearance on social media was back in October 2019, when Clarke, Momoa, and Kit Harington celebrated her 33rd birthday. “Reunions never looked this hairy,” she wrote at the time, adding the hashtag “any excuse for a Momoa sandwich.”

While we may not get to see Khal Drogo and Daenerys Targaryen appear together on screen again (never say never), a Game of Thrones prequel is headed to HBO in 2022. House of the Dragon explores the Targaryen civil war that occurred about 300 years before Daenerys father, The Mad King, met his death at the hands of Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau).
Hopefully, Clarke and Momoa will share pics from their inevitable watch parties.
