Emily Ratajkowski Just Shared Photos of Her Son’s Face for the First Time

What an adorable baby boy!

Emily Ratajkowski has a little “angel” on her hands.

On October 1, the model posted a series of moments from “mama life,” including the first images of her six-month-old son's face. “You're an angel,” read the sticker on one photo of Sylvester “Sly” Apollo, who is wearing a too-big baseball cap and a sweater with his name on it. Hats seemed to be the theme of the day: In another photo, Sly is pictured smiling in a fuzzy pink hat courtesy of their lunch date, Ziwe.

Emily Ratajkowski and her husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard, welcomed Sly into the world in March of 2020. “Sylvester Apollo Bear has joined us earth side,” she wrote at the time. “Sly arrived 3/8/21 on the most surreal, beautiful, and love-filled morning of my life.”

The model has lightly documented her journey through motherhood, but this is the first time she's let her followers get a real look at her son. Ratajkowski often shares photos of her son in cute outfits or breastfeeding. “Beautiful boy,” she captioned one photo with Sly's face blurred. In another she captioned multiple shots, “If it seems like I’m always breastfeeding it’s because I am.”

Unfortunately, Ratajkowski's posting experience hasn't been completely positive. Following national discourse over the media's treatment of Britney Spears, the model took to Instagram to reflect on her experiences with mommy-shamers on the internet. “We are all reflecting back on shaming Britney [Spears] and calling her a bad mom,” Ratajkowski wrote on July 16, per Us Weekly. “We talk about how we have to ‘do better’ as a culture. Meanwhile, my comments are filled with awful remarks about how I don’t deserve to be a mom. Shame on you all.”

Even before Sly's birth, she has been fending off attacks from online haters who think they know best. While pregnant with her son, Ratajkowski fired back after fans suggested she’d been getting lip fillers. “You can’t even get injections when you’re pregnant,” she wrote over a mirror selfie, per Us Weekly. “A woman’s blood volume increases 50% which is why ladies can get a little puffy in the face and lips during pregnancy.”

Thankfully, this hasn't stopped Ratajkowski from sharing her joy.
