It’s Dickies and crop top season!
Emily Ratajkowski’s Latest Warm Weather Look Channels a Late ’90s Starlet
New-mom Emily Ratajkowski stepped out yesterday in a classic, relaxed warm-weather look. True to her brand, she wore a cropped sheer shirt from her own label Inamorata (after all, Emrata’s signature is a midriff-baring look.) As for the pants? Those were more relaxed. Ratajkowski wore a pair of dark-wash, low-slung carpenter pants from Dickies, a tried-and-true pair that she has sworn by for quite some time now, even pre-pregnancy. To finish off the outfit, she wore cream New Balance sneakers.
The look, loose and summer-ready, feels like the quintessential late ’90s and early ’00s cool girl get-up. Think: Gwen Stefani in a pair of cargos and a cropped tank top during her early No Doubt days, or Drew Barrymore strutting down the sidewalk with Cameron Diaz while wearing low-slung leather pants and a cropped T-shirt. The combo is easy-breezy, not too sexy nor try-hard. In fact, a loose pant and crop top union feels right in step with the beginnings of summer.
