"The Falcon and The Winter Soldier" actor has her face mask game on lock.
Emily VanCamp Drops Her Skin-Care Routine
Emily VanCamp doesn't mess around, both when playing badass agent Sharon Carter in Marvel's The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and when it comes to her skin-care routine. When I signed on for our Zoom, the 34-year old actor came prepared with a written list of her favorite products in order to keep organized.
But that doesn't mean it's all business. VanCamp considers her skin-care routine a self-care ritual. “I wasn't always like that, but I think when I entered into my thirties, I realized I needed to make skin care a little bit more of a priority," she says. “Especially with what I do for a living, wearing tons of makeup all the time. I definitely try to see it as time for myself."
For her, that means having fun trying new products and adjusting her routine daily depending on how much makeup she's wearing and where she is in the world. She doesn't get too crazy though, as “redness is a big concern of mine,” she says. “I have combination skin, but I lean towards dry, so trying to find a balance between hydration, but then not breaking out is a difficult one for me as well. It's been about years of experimentation with product.”
Ahead of episode three of The Falcon and The Winter Solider (which is available to stream on Disney+ Friday, April 2), we had VanCamp break down the best products she's found over the years. Read on as she drops her routine.
My Cleansers
I've gone back to doing the Dermalogica Precleanse cleansing oil again, and I love it. I only do the Precleanse at night after I've had a day of makeup, and I just try to keep that really simple. And then morning and night I'll use the brand's Ultracalming Cleanser, unless I've had a day of no makeup, then I usually don't use any cleanser. The Ultracalming cleanser is just so basic, so it's really nice for me.

I don't use any strong toners to avoid irritation, so when I do want to use an essence I use the Tata Harper Hydrating Floral Essence. I love Tata Harper. I can't use all her products, but the ones that I love are like “ahhhh!” I also love that they're all natural. That's another thing I do try to veer towards, companies who are into using organic materials, all natural, all that stuff. So love that essence, it smells amazing.

The serum I've used pretty much religiously for over a decade is Quench by Kate Somerville. It's super hydrating, but also has never broken me out. And recently, I started using the True Botanicals Pure Radiance Oil. It's not really a serum, but I use it like one. When my skin's really dry, I add that to my Quench and it's really great.
I also love the Tata Harper Retinoic Face Oil. I don't use it a lot though, because I don't use a lot of oil, and if I'm going to do anything it's the True Botanicals. But if I want extra moisture, I use that.

For the day I love the Elemis Marine Cream SPF 30. I just use that that instead a regular moisturizer because it's super thin; it's a great product. If I want something tinted, then I'll use EltaMD. And then the moisturizer I've been using forever, I always end up going back to it, is the Natura Bisse The Cure. I use that one at night, since it's so calming.

I love the Tata Harper Restorative Eye Cream, that's my go-to morning and night. And when my eyes are puffy, I use the Sisley Eye Mask. I also have a rose quartz roller that I mostly use for my eyes. I'll put my eye cream on with it if I'm puffy in the morning, especially before work. And then at work I always do these Skyn Iceland patches, they're great to put on right before I do my makeup and all of that.

I love the Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask. I use it once or twice a week. It's not intensive, so even with my really sensitive skin it's fine. When I want to extra exfoliate, I use the Regenerating Cleanser from Tata, and put the mask on top, and it's just lovely. I also love the Drunk Elephant Babyfacial with the Marula Oil after, if I want to go a little deeper.
I also love the Sisley Black Rose Mask that you can leave on overnight, and the Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Mask. I do that if I've worn a lot of makeup, or if my skin's freaking out.

I just recently started using Hourglass, and it does a lip oil that's unbelievable. I put that on at night and it's just heaven.
