Emma Watson Wore a Stunning Backless Dress for Her First Red Carpet in Two Years
Emma Watson just went to her first red-carpet event since 2019, and the look is bold and fabulous.
The Little Women actor attended the Earthshot Prize ceremony in London in a unique ’fit: a backless dress, pants, and very on-trend chunk shoes. Watson was a presenter at the event, which honors people who are helping combat climate change. Other celeb guests included Kate Middleton, Prince William, Ed Sheeran, and Emma Thompson.
The best part about Watson’s look here: It’s upcycled demi-couture bridal wear from the Harris Reed Found collection. In fact, the whole look was head-to-toe Harris Reed.
Check it out, below. Also, I’m living for her hair here. A perfect bob!
In May, Emma Watson popped up on social media to address rumors she was engaged and retiring from acting.
“Rumours about whether I’m engaged or not, or whether my career is ‘dormant or not’ are ways to create clicks each time they are revealed to be true or untrue,” Watson wrote. “If I have news—I promise I’ll share it with you. In the mean time please assume no news from me just means I’m quietly spending the pandemic the way most people are—failing to make sourdough bread (!), caring for my loved ones and doing my best not to spread a virus that is still affecting so many people. I am sending so much love to you, hoping you’re ok and as well and happy as you can be in these strange times. And again, thank you to everyone working so hard to keep us safe and well.”
Emma Watson’s manager at Untitled Entertainment, Jason Weinberg, also dismissed speculation her career had gone “dormant” back in February 2021. “Emma’s social media accounts are dormant but her career isn’t,” he told E.W. in a statement.
