The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual Costume Institute gala is famous not only for the in-depth exhibitions curated by Andrew Bolton, the Wendy Yu Curator in Charge, but for its monumental red carpet. It was on those Met steps that Rihanna debuted her Guo Pei yellow wrap, where Frank Ocean wore a Prada anorak, and where Lady Gaga made a groundbreaking four—yes four!—outfit changes with the help of designer Brandon Maxwell. For the first time ever, Vogue Club is inviting you to join us in the press pen of the red carpet for this year’s intimate event on September 13 to celebrate The Met’s Costume Institute exhibition In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.
To enter, follow the entry form below. Entrants will be asked to film a short video (no longer than 30 seconds) answering the question: What is your hope for the future of American fashion? Make sure your response is thoughtful and individual—and feel free to post it on your social channels using the hashtags #VogueClubContest2021 and #MetGala! One winner will be selected to join a Vogue editor on the red carpet for the event, co-chaired by Timothée Chalamet, Billie Eilish, Amanda Gorman, and Naomi Osaka.
