Concerts, sports, and traveling are finally back.
From Festivals to Excursions, 10 Summer Activities Vogue Editors Are Excited to Book
From the reopening of theaters to the revival of musical concerts and sporting events, there are many fun things to do this summer. We all certainly deserve to treat ourselves to a bit of adventure, especially after spending a year mostly indoors in isolation.
Travel, of course, is at the top of the list for most Vogue editors, whether it’s sightseeing in the art deco city of Miami or cruising around the romantic island of Capri. And—gasp!—live, in-person events are safely making a return on our to-do lists as well. A few of my colleagues are more than overjoyed to be able to book tickets to festivals and attend tournaments in stadiums once again.
If you’re looking for fun ways to add a dash of excitement to the season ahead, you’ll discover ten fun things to do this summer, courtesy of Vogue staffers.

U.S. Open, New York
I’m a big tennis fan and last year I was so disappointed to not be able to attend the U.S. Open in person (per tradition). This year, I made sure to purchase tickets early and I can’t wait to gather with my friends, with a Honey Deuce in hand, and watch my favorite players from Naomi Osaka to del Potro on the court.

Boat Ride, Capri
If all goes according to plan, I’ll be in Capri in a couple of weekends and I’ll be looking to book a boat ride tour to see some of the island’s famed grottos. This excursion is done on a traditional wooden gozzo boat, and I can’t wait to be bobbing around in it. For the occasion, I’ll be full-on Jackie Kennedy in a pair of capris (I can’t not), some mariner stripes, and I’ll be wearing the new pair of Canfora sandals that I plan to pick up.

Kayaking, Miami
I’m heading back to Miami at the end of this month. And although I was born and raised in South Florida, I plan on returning as a full-on tourist and booking a glass kayak trip for my friend’s 30th birthday. Well, it’s not actual glass, but the clear canoes look like pretty crystal vessels. Of course, I’m going to make sure I’m ready to get splashed in a fun swimsuit that’s perfect for the occasion.
