Gigi Hadid Returns to the Runway at Versace

The new mom walked with her sister, Bella.

Gigi Hadid is officially back on the runway. The new mom gave birth to her daughter, Khai, back in September and re-entered the fashion week sphere today via Versace’s fall/winter 2021 show. Gigi wore a body-skimming, sexy look from the Italian house—bare midriff and all. She posed hand-in-hand with her sister Bella backstage, dressed in a sleek black zip-up corset, long tailored coat, kicky skirt, and hulking platform boots.

This comes a little over a month since she appeared on the Vogue March cover, in which she spoke about her 14-hour labor and introduction to motherhood. “When you see someone do that, you look at them a bit differently. I probably looked crazy, actually,” she said of her at-home birth. “I was an animal woman.” Since then, she has kept a low-profile at her family’s bucolic home in Bucks’s County, Pennsylvania, and has only been spotted in New York City a handful of times. In her cover story, she told Vogue that she was looking to slow things down, modeling-wise. “I’m veering toward things that feel more stable than being in a different country every week,” she said. Her walk at Versace marks a new chapter in her career.
