Gigi Hadid Takes Summer’s Hottest Color Into Fall

Stars are continuing to see green.

Street style stars and celebrities alike were seeing green this summer. The hue emerged as fashion’s favorite color, whether it was in neon limes (like the blinding shades Rihanna wore) or darker, richer emeralds (like the Pertegaz suit-dress Zendaya wore to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival). And now Gigi Hadid is bringing it into the fall season.

In Paris for fashion week, the model was spotted wearing a head-to-toe green ensemble, proving that the trend isn’t going anywhere this season anytime soon. Hadid wore a sharp, structured emerald blazer and matching trousers by Victoria Beckham, paired with a khaki-green turtleneck. The contrasting shades were a clever way to bring the look into the cooler months, as they’re decidedly more subdued than the bright green pieces we saw trending in the summer (remember that lime green Bottega bag everyone was wearing?). Her chunky Wandler boots and animal print bag also lent a cool, sleek finish to the look. =

So, if you thought summer’s green obsession was over, think again. The 2021 Pantone color of the year may have been yellow and gray, but green has taken over. At least, that’s what the A-listers are suggesting.
