Halsey Posted a Stunning Photo Breastfeeding Their Newborn
New parent Halsey is soaking up the last days of summer with their baby by their side—or more accurately, on their breast.
The “Closer” singer just posted a sweet breastfeeding picture to Instagram for World Breastfeeding Week. “#worldbreastfeedingweek 🤍 we arrived just in time!,” wrote Halsey, who uses both they/them and she/her pronouns. In the picture, they relax in a park, their tank top pulled down so that child Ridley Aydin (born just over two weeks ago) can feed. Halsey tagged their partner and coparent, Alev Aydin, who shared it to his Instagram Stories with some red hearts. Ah, baby bliss!

Halsey embraced breastfeeding right away; in her post announcing Ridley's birth, the second picture is of the infant feeding.

Halsey isn't the only celeb who's recently posted a breastfeeding pic to the grid. Mothers and parents are increasingly open about celebrating this special connection to their babies. Emily Ratajkowski, Ilana Glazer, and Hilaria Baldwin, among others, have posted sweet mealtime pictures with their kids.

In fact, the breastfeeding journey in Hollywood has reached the costume department. Loki star Sophia Di Martino recently revealed that her costume included special “concealed zippers” so she could pump between takes without having to take the whole thing off. “It’s not easy being a working Mama (Understatement!),” she wrote on IG. “#christinewada designed Sylvie’s costume and had the genius idea of adding concealed zippers for easy access so that I could use my hands-free @elvie pumps easily (pictured) and nurse my baby between takes. It’s little (big) things like this that made it possible for me to do my job AND be a parent. I’m forever grateful.”
Just another example of the workplace making modifications to fit parents, rather than the other way around.
