I Finally Found the Perfect White T-Shirt and—It’s Custom-Made by Amazon
A crisp white T-shirt is an essential piece in my everyday wardrobe. It’s seasonless, it’s versatile, it’s classic, and it should last a lifetime. But I’ve yet to find the one. Plus my favorite tees of the past only seemed to last a few wears before transforming into totally new shirts due to shrinking and stretch-prone fabrics. I can’t help but blame the wash for ruining them, but I suspect, perhaps, that it’s really the product at fault.
From my selection of fast-fashion fitted T-shirts to a few higher-end-label versions that fail to feel worth it, I’ve yet to discover a tee that can do it all. However, just when I convinced myself that the perfect white tee must be a myth, Amazon’s Made for You T-shirt proved me wrong.

After what felt like years of a lost-cause search, creating my own tee couldn’t have been easier on Amazon. Go figure! In between sips of my morning coffee before my first Zoom meeting, I completed a virtual fitting and personalized my product in under five minutes using the Amazon app. No measuring tapes or IRL appointments were required to complete my custom tee. The only time I lifted a finger was to choose the fabric (medium or lightweight), color, and fit. As I switched through the limitless options (who knew a simple tee could be so complex!), a simulation model in my specs swapped out my ideas on the app until I decided on the one.

Naturally, I opted for a white, slim-fit, short-sleeve style complete with a crewneck and special tag. And that’s exactly how my tee arrived. The sleeves hugged my arms perfectly without the unwanted pull, and the medium-weight fabric comfortably held the shirt’s structure.
Length is always the make-or-break element for me because I have a short torso. Usually the extra fabric at the bottom of a T-shirt creates an unflattering pouch at my waistline when tucked in—a true nightmare. Thankfully my Made for You tee solved this problem. It cuts off about an inch or so below my zipper, allowing for a smooth and easy tuck-in moment when paired with my favorite denim. Of course, my made-to-order tee shipped at Prime speed, so I’ll be wearing my unique design throughout this year’s holiday season at home and straight into the new year.
