Jennifer Aniston Shared a Bunch of Candid Behind-the-Scenes Pics From the ‘Friends’ Reunion
Jennifer Aniston is still on cloud nine since filming the Friends reunion. The actor joined her former costars, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Lisa Kudrow, for the HBO Max special, and she just shared a bunch of photos and videos from the taping.
“Still basking in all the love from the #FriendsReunion. Thank you each and every one of you ❤️,” Aniston captioned an Instagram post of photos from the reunion set. “Swipe for... The bazillionth selfie taken with the five of us... When two TOTALLY different worlds collide - @_schwim_’s face says it all ☺️ ... The legend himself, our director of the first season, Papa James Burrows 💞🥰.”
One of the behind-the-scenes photos she shared was with Justin and Hailey Bieber. The Biebers were just two of the celebrity guests who were part of the reunion, which included a sit-down panel interview with the core six friends conducted by James Corden.
The chemistry of the famous cast could be felt through the screen, partly because of their love for each other. David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston, who played love interests Rachel and Ross, even revealed they had a crush on each other during earlier seasons.
“I mean, the first season, I had a major crush on Jen. At some point, we were crushing hard on each other,” Schwimmer admitted during the reunion, per People. “But it was like two ships passing, because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that.”
Aniston added, “Honestly, I remember saying one time to David, ‘It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television.’ Sure enough, first time we kissed was in that coffee shop…. So we just channeled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel.”
