“Some things do last forever.”
Jennifer Lopez May Have Just Hinted at Her Reunion With Ben Affleck
What if Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are star-crossed lovers with an epic story, and we are witnessing one of the greatest romances of the 21st century? No, really! Lopez (may have) just said something so romantic and swoon-y about their rekindled relationship, and it's getting really hard not to romanticize their love.
Reflecting on the continued popularity of her 2002 album This Is Me… Then, Lopez told Today, "Some things do last forever," which, okay, that's not exactly the most explicit Affleck reference, but let's get into the context here. The album came out during Bennifer 1.0, and the video for her monster hit single from the album, “Jenny From the Block,” famously features Affleck literally kissing her ass.
And the reason she's even talking about the album now is because people have been listening to it again. Because they've been reminded of it. By her and Affleck getting back together. C'mon, we know the game here.

Lopez also said of the album (per Harper's Bazaar), “That was a moment. When you go back and hear that, you hear the purity and the love there. And I think that's why people went back as they saw different things happening in my life now and they go, 'Wow, really?' And I think it gave people hope.” My translation of that: She and Affleck were so in love, people couldn't even believe it, and it got picked apart the first time. But now everything's cool and everyone's supportive and she's so happy.
Just a week ago, Jennifer Lopez told Apple Music, “I’m super happy. I know people are always wondering. ‘How are you? What's going on? Are you okay?’ This is it. I’ve never been better,” adding, "I love all the love that’s coming my way right now and all of the good wishes. And I just want everybody to know that it’s the best time. It’s the best time of my life.”
