The Gen-Z A-listers are going strong.
Kaia Gerber Just Opened Up About Her Relationship With Jacob Elordi
At just 19, Kaia Gerber is already one of the most instantly recognizable models of her generation. But apart from a rumored brief fling with Pete Davidson, not much is known about her romantic life. She’s currently attached to Euphoria star Jacob Elordi, though the two aren’t exactly making cutesy couple TikToks together. They keep things pretty private. Recently, though, Gerber opened up about their relationship, and it seems things are going as well as they could be.
For a cover story in the most recent issue of Vogue, Gerber says of her relationship, which began last September, “Being able to be with someone I trust, where we don’t want anything from each other, having a safe, steady relationship like that, has really opened my eyes to the possibilities of love and what it feels like to love without conditions.” Vague but so sweet. “Lust is touching other people or wanting them, but love is really seeing someone,” she added, still a young woman learning the ropes of relationships.
Now that she’s branching into acting, with a role on American Horror Story, Gerber is even more glad to be dating an actor. She revealed, “He’s a great person for me to go to because he’s gone to drama school and has years of experience that I don’t have. So I’m like, ‘Oh, I’m definitely going to be using you as a resource.’”
Kaia Gerber also hinted that she and Jacob Elordi, just four years apart in age, are perhaps the most appropriate pair she’s been a part of in her life. She grew up not in a high school full of peers but in the adult modeling world and recalled, “I was doing Fashion Month, but I was so young I had kissed, like, only one person. I had never had a high school sweetheart or anything. And so I tended to date older people because those were the people I was around. And I got put in situations where one day I’d wake up and be like, How did I get here? I have no idea what I’m doing, and I need help. And being able to ask for that help was amazing. That’s what real growing up means, not being afraid to ask.”
