Gerber exuded pure elegance, and enlisted Oscar de la Renta to re-create the strapless black gown featuring floral detailing around the neckline. To complete the look, she wore her hair in Jagger-esque waves, parted to the side, which came courtesy of hairstylist Guido Palau—who has been responsible for some of the model’s most dramatic hair transformations in the past.
Jagger attended the Met gala a number of times during the 1970s and ’80s, often accompanied by and wearing designs by her friend the legendary New York designer Halston, who was the subject of a Netflix biopic earlier this year.
There’s no doubt that Gerber’s knowledge of fashion history shines through in her debut look—we can’t wait for many more to come.
