Kate Middleton’s Outfit in Her 10-Year Wedding Anniversary Video Had a Princess Diana Nod
If you haven't yet watched the adorable video of Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three children (George, Charlotte, and Louis) playing outdoors, we guarantee it'll brighten your morning. The family is all smiles as they run around the beach and roast marshmallows in the backyard. And in the video, released on the occasion of the royal couple's 10th wedding anniversary, Middleton can be seen wearing a blouse with a frilly white collar underneath her red sweater, a style that was also a favorite of Prince William's late mother, Princess Diana.
Specifically, she's wearing a “trendy pie crust collar,” according to U.K. tabloid The Sun, which notes that Princess Diana wore the same type of collar on occasions like a royal visit to Cornwall in 1983 and a Buckingham Palace garden party before her wedding. Whether this “nod” or “tribute” was intentional is unclear.
Kate Middleton tops off the look with a Barbour jacket, a preppy classic and perfect for the blustery English countryside. If you want to see the coat in a truly rural setting, though, check out Kate Middleton and Prince William petting sheep. It's cute and will also brighten your day.
The video, which in just 24 hours racked up a million views on Twitter, was posted alongside the message, “Thank you to everyone for the kind messages on our wedding anniversary. We are enormously grateful for the 10 years of support we have received in our lives as a family. W & C.”

The pair also released some romantic portraits to commemorate the occasion, in which the couple is dressed a bit more formally. As always, Middleton wears her engagement ring, the same ring Princess Diana received from Prince William's father, Prince Charles. In the below video, check out other times Middleton has rocked Princess Diana's style.
