Kate Middleton's New Necklace References Her Children in the Cutest Way

💖💖💖

Kate Middleton and Prince William are getting back to a somewhat normal work schedule of royal engagements after months of working from home like the rest of us because of the coronavirus.

For avid royal watchers, it’s great to see Middleton back out and about (and keeping a safe distance), if only to have some new fashion to ogle and admire. The Duchess of Cambridge brought back her very chic floral-print face mask last week while making bagels with her husband at a famed London bakery—and today (September 22) she wore an even more special accessory while visiting with fellow parents in Battersea Park.

The Twitter account @KatesRoyalCloset called out that Middleton appears to be wearing a new necklace with the initials G, C, and L to represent her three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. She paired it with a white T-shirt, dusty pink cropped pants, and her go-to white Superga sneakers

According to Hello!, Middleton talked to representatives from Home-Start, National Childbirth Trust, and Mush “about how they had struggled to meet up during lockdown and how important access to outside space had been to parents’ health and well-being.”

The necklace is reminiscent of some of the styles favored by her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, who has been known to wear the initials of Prince Harry and their son, Archie, on her jewelry. We don’t yet have confirmation on the brand of Middleton’s necklace, but we found a similar chain from Missoma, a brand Markle is known to wear, for $72.

Per People, members of the support groups had a video call with Kate Middleton ahead of today's meet-up. “Huge well-done to all of you. I know there’s a big team of you out there in communities across the country,” she said. “Both William and I hear about how vital these relationships are to families—they’re a real lifeline. So to you and your army of volunteers out there, a huge well-done. I, like you, would love to see peer-to-peer support more embedded and celebrated in communities and society as a whole.”

It was both fitting and sweet that she had her three kids close to her heart today.
