Lady Gaga’s Travel Outfit Is a Fashion Sugar Rush

The pop star’s travel look was as sweet as strawberries.

We all know that Lady Gaga is capable of pulling off the most outré, high-concept fashion moments imaginable. Who can forget her four-part, camp-themed extravaganza of a look at the 2019 Met Gala, or the time she arrived at the Grammy awards in a giant egg? But spare a thought for her off-duty style, too. Whether she’s wearing a sleek all-black look and toting a Celine handbag, or trying something a little more playful, like a rainbow Versace jacket and jean shorts, her relaxed looks are also worth noting.

Gaga’s latest outfit, which she posted to Instagram earlier today, certainly leans towards the latter category. Taking a selfie on a private airplane while en route to New York City, Gaga sported a camp collar shirt and bucket hat over a white bandeau top, paired with a matching slick of shiny pink lip gloss. After accessorizing with a gold Valentino necklace and a pair of oversize Jennifer Fisher hoops, she added a pink animé-inspired cuddly toy tucked underneath her arm as both a final touch and a traveling companion.

The real star of the show, however, was the print that covered her shirt and hat, which seemed to feature strawberries mutated into a butterfly. Designed by cult label Petals and Peacocks, the matching set made for a delightfully light-hearted look that was still pure Gaga—whimsical, charming, and as sugary sweet as a Chromatica Oreo
