In 2021 the term maternity wear can feel passe; expectant mothers have largely abandoned old ideas about what to wear while pregnant, and it’s led to exciting fashion moments. Case in point: Yesterday, Ashley Graham, who is currently expecting her second child with her husband, Justin Ervin, stepped out to do press for Revlon, and she did so in Versace. Dressed in a look from Donatella’s spring 2021 collection, the modeling superstar posed on her hotel’s balcony and turned a candid moment into a mini-editorial. With the ocean and miles of palm trees as her backdrop, Graham was the picture of summery glamour. Everything from the juicy hues of her outfit to the golden Cartier jewelry she used to accentuate them was in harmony.
Many reserve their Versace for night’s out, but Graham’s look highlighted the universality of the brand’s designs. A tangerine dream of a dress that highlighted every curve, the look provided a jolt of fun to her workday. Graham and her stylist Steven La Fuente have been smart about filling her wardrobe with color and excitement, and this latest outfit was entirely in line with her playful style.
Throughout her pregnancy, Graham has documented her clothing choices and daily life on social media, candidly offering up glimpses into her wardrobe and what it’s like being a working mom on the go. Naturally, she shared her thoughts on her Versace look with the appropriately cheeky caption, “baby bumpin’,” and an orange emoji.
