Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Have a Request If You're Hoping to Send Gifts for Baby Lili

“She is more than we could have ever imagined.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just welcomed their second child, a girl named Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, and they know that a new baby is cause for celebration. However, if you are hoping to send a gift to the little one or the parents of two, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a request.

"For those inquiring on sending gifts, we would ask that you support or learn more about these organizations working for women and girls: Girls Inc., Harvest Home, CAMFED, or Myna Mahila Foundation," a statement on the Archewell website reads. “While the Duke and Duchess are on parental leave, Archewell will continue to do important work and publish stories on the site. We look forward to seeing you!”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a history of altruism and charitable work, something they've remained dedicated to since stepping back from their roles as senior royals. “As evidenced by their work over the past year, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain committed to their duty and service to the U.K. and around the world, and have offered their continued support to the organizations they have represented regardless of official role,” a rep said in a statement back in February 2021. “We can all live a life of service. Service is universal.”

Lili Diana was born on June 4 at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA. “Both mother and child are healthy and well, and settling in at home,” read the statement posted on June 6. “Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales.”

The Duke and Duchess also shared a personal statement on their website, writing, “On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family.”
