Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Just Revealed the Sex of Their Second Child

Congrats!

When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sat down with Oprah Winfrey for an all-encompassing bombshell interview on Sunday, March 7, we knew there would be a lot of big reveals. And the Duke and Duchess of Sussex certainly did not hold back. From the decision to step back from the royal family to their relationship with the Queen, the couple shared all.

And one reveal is worthy of congratulations: The Sussexes shared that their second child will be a baby girl. “Amazing,” Harry said, when asked how he was feeling about having a daughter. “Just grateful...to have a boy and then a girl, what more can you ask for? We’ve got our family.”

Meghan and Harry said they've decided to remain a family of four: After their daughter is born this summer, when she's due, they're done having kids.

The couple confirmed they were having a second child on February 14, after photographer Misan Harriman posted a shot of the couple on Twitter with the news.

“Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honoured to capture it grow,” Harriman tweeted. “Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on this joyous news!” Fun fact: The stunning photo was taken on an iPad!

“We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child,” a spokesperson for the couple later told People.

The date of the reveal might have been a sweet nod to Harry's late mother, Princess Diana. As royal fans pointed out, Diana and Prince Charles revealed that they were expecting their second child, Harry, on February 13.
