Meghan Markle Shared the Absolute ‘Best Accessory’ for Any Outfit

And gave a peek at her gorgeous new home.

Meghan Markle just gave some very empowering advice…all while giving us all a peek at her new home's gorgeous fireplace.

To celebrate the one-year anniversary of her Smart Set Capsule Collection for Smart Works, a U.K. charity that provides free “high-quality” clothing and interview training to unemployed women, Markle spoke with three Smart Works clients who have successfully found work thanks, in part, to the organization.

During her video chat conversation with Karla, Charlene, and Agnieszka, the Duchess of Sussex shared what she believes is the best accessory for any outfit: confidence.

“People can say that so much of Smart Works is about the clothes themselves, but it's really not,” she said in the video shared on September 12. “All of that stuff is the exterior, but it's what it does for you on the inside that ends up being the best accessory. It’s the confidence; it's what is built within. That is the piece that you walk out of that room with and walk into the interview with.”

In an Instagram post, Smart Works shared that Markle's capsule collection “has proved to be invaluable,” especially amid an ongoing global health crisis. “In particular it has played an important role in ensuring the success of the new virtual service which was launched as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic,” the statement read.

“The team at Smart Works would like to take this opportunity to thank The Duchess of Sussex for her continued support of our charity, the retail partners who came together to help create the original collection and the wonderful supporters who purchased pieces and helped fill our wardrobes,” the statement continued.

Back in 2019, Meghan Markle partnered with four brands to create the limited-edition capsule collection. For every piece sold, another would be donated directly to Smart Works.

“Since moving to the U.K., it has been deeply important to me to meet with communities and organizations on the ground doing meaningful work and to try to do whatever I can to help them amplify their impact,” the duchess shared on Instagram at the time. “I am excited to celebrate the launch of another initiative of women supporting women, and communities working together for the greater good.”
