Here's where to get one for yourself.
Michelle Obama’s ‘Vote’ Necklace Was a Hit at the 2020 Democratic National Convention
Michelle Obama definitely won the internet during the first night of the (virtual) 2020 Democratic National Convention.
The former first lady was the final speaker of the evening, and she dominated the social media conversation with her direct rebuke of Donald Trump's presidency and with the case she made for former vice president Joe Biden. “Donald Trump is the wrong president for our country. He has had more than enough time to prove that he can do the job, but he is clearly in over his head. He cannot meet this moment," she said, in a line oft-quoted on Twitter. "He simply cannot be who we need him to be for us. It is what it is.”
But along with that speech, many were talking about the message Obama sent with her jewelry, as well—specifically a gold necklace that spelled out “VOTE.” Everyone wanted to know where they could get one of their own.

The internet did its thing, and soon we all had our answer: The necklace is from a brand called ByChari. That the company is Black-owned gives it even deeper significance when worn by America's first Black first lady.

The necklace is available in yellow gold, rose gold, and white gold and sells for $295—and they still have some available.

$295ByChariObama's message about voting was clear and straightforward in her speech. “Right now folks who know they cannot win fair and square at the ballot box are doing everything they can to stop us from voting," she said. "They’re closing down polling places in minority neighborhoods. They’re purging voter rolls. They’re sending people out to intimidate voters, and they’re lying about the security of our ballots. These tactics are not new.”
"So for those of y'all calling it sexist to pay attention to Michelle's jewelry, you miss the point that she is literally using fashion and jewelry to communicate something," Washington Post journalist Karen Attiah tweeted. “As do many of us women who are used to not being heard.”

“I never imagined that something I'm so passionate about could mean so much to so many!” @ByChari tweeted after the big moment. “The response has been incredible and I am beyond honored and humbled that @michelleobama wore my design.”
