Pete Davidson’s Babetastic Fashion Bro Look Has Been a Long Time Coming
Pete Davidson transformed into a fashion bro on an acid trip with his latest look—and I dig it. Last night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he chatted away in a grandma purple cardigan and bleached hair reminiscent of Johnny Miller circa Hackers, which went perfectly with a meowing cat print T-shirt by the Vampire’s Wife. The flower-printed, baggy jeans and New Balance sneakers really brought the look home. The comedian officially let his fashion freak flag fly, and melted my jaded-by-fashion heart.
Davidson’s full embrace of the fashion world has been a long time coming. He’s been spotted out wearing bauble-ridden pieces by Beepy Bella (a necklace du jour for fashion buffs), and, on a more low-key note, the Elara dad cap. At the NBA Playoffs back in June 2021, he opted for a searing tie-dye Grateful Dead T-shirt (along with another baubly necklace). At a boxing match between Jake Paul and Ben Askren in April 2021, he dressed to be seen in an acid-splotched denim jacket the color of an organic egg yolk, paired with a floral print T-shirt and cargo pants. Even when he is on Saturday Night Live, he makes his look his own, typically with a low-key sweatshirt. I love to see a man have fun with his look. And Davidson seems like a pretty fun guy, so why not?
