Rihanna Wore a $495 Mint Green Prada Bucket Hat on a Date With A$AP Rocky
Rihanna is a style icon. And a music icon. And a beauty icon. And a, well, you get the idea. We were reminded of this—not that we needed reminding—when the “Work” singer stepped out in New York City recently wearing a mint green Prada bucket hat (which retails for $495), matching sunglasses, a Cramps band tee, and jeans.
The casual yet striking look caught the attention of paparazzi, and she was snapped repeatedly on a date night with boyfriend A$AP Rocky. The it-couple arrived in a Rolls Royce Cullinan—the epitome of luxury—for their night out together.
Rihanna had another incredible style moment a few days ago, when she stepped out in a slip dress and statement accessories. She complemented the dress with long strands of pearls, a matching black bag and shoes, and a bright red lip.
The “Umbrella” singer spoke to the New York Times Magazine in 2019 about her then-fashion brand, Fenty. She discussed her own body and how that affects her fashion choices. "It just changed how I dress in terms of my proportions," she said. "You wear what looks good on you, and that’s it."
She continued, "I’m thick and curvy right now, and so if I can’t wear my own stuff then, I mean, that’s not gonna work, right? And my size is not the biggest size. It’s actually closer to the smallest size we have: We go up to a [U.S. size 14]. We’re saying we can meet you at any one drop that we put out."
Fenty was discontinued, but Rihanna still co-owns the lingerie line, Savage X Fenty, and owns her skincare and makeup line, Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, along with luxury goods group LVMH. She truly is Queen Ri. I can't wait to see what NYC style moment she has in store next.
