Rihanna’s Grocery Run Look? Chanel Of Course
A grocery run doesn’t necessitate a designer look for most people, but Rihanna plays by her own rules. The eternally stylish star puts effort into every outfit, and last night in Tribeca, she hit up her local Whole Foods in her version of casual wear. Dressed in a little black jacket from Chanel’s pre-fall 2021 collection, ripped Gucci jeans, and Adidas sneakers, Rihanna kept things low-key yet luxurious. Distressed denim and a nice blazer are a fail safe combination, but Rihanna piled on the accessories to add visual interest.
The contrast between Rihanna’s traditional jewelry and the outfit’s sportier elements was what kept things interesting. In another look, Vivienne Westwood’s pearl drop choker plus a gold Chanel Camellia brooch and Number 5 belt would register as “Upper East Side socialite.” Rihanna balanced out her accessories with rebellious accents—namely, a lace bra peeking out from beneath her jacket and an emerald green Yankees cap.
Thanks to her mask and a pair of oversized sunglasses, Rihanna was able to go incognito once she passed the paparazzi and entered the store. If the other patrons noticed an incredibly chic customer browsing the produce section, they didn’t let on.
