So, Ben Affleck Was Spotted Browsing Tiffany Engagement Rings

Could there be a Bennifer proposal in the works?

It seems Ben Affleck, one half of Bennifer 2.0, has diamonds on the brain. Photos from Page Six capture the actor at a Los Angeles Tiffany & Co. on Monday, August 23, browsing engagement rings with his mom, Chris, and son, Samuel.

Although we don’t know exactly who he was shopping for, the pictures have obviously spurred speculation that the actor is considering proposing to his on-again love, Jennifer Lopez. Plus, he was seen taking notes on the jewelry—not something a casual window shopper would probably do.

Affleck and his ex-fiancé started dating earlier this summer. And ever since the two were spotted making out in June, they’ve had no problem sharing their reignited love with the world. In fact, in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Lopez gushed that she is having the “best time of my life.”

Things seem to be getting more serious, too. Affleck went on this trip to Tiffany & Co. just two days after a family date with Lopez’s and Affleck’s kids at Magic Castle in L.A. They have also gone house hunting together recently, so speculation about engagement rings isn’t too far-fetched.

If that is what’s happening here, we feel confident that Affleck knows Lopez’s taste in diamonds. The couple were previously engaged in November 2002, and he popped the question with a custom-made pink diamond solitaire engagement ring by Harry Winston that reportedly cost $2.5 million.

Then again, Lopez once casually called the 6.1-carat ring “whatever” in an interview. “I met Barbra [Streisand] at an Oscar party, years ago, and I was at the time engaged to Ben Affleck, and she’s really into diamonds, which I didn’t know,” Lopez said, according to Billboard. “He had given me a pink diamond, which got a lot of press and was whatever. I loved getting it, don’t get me wrong. So she came up to me, and like, she’s heard of it. I’m like, ‘Oh, my God.’ And she’s like, ‘Can I see your ring?’ And she asked me about the ring, but then she asked me—and I thought it was so strange—about being famous, and how I handle it.”

After excessive media attention, the two postponed the wedding in 2003 and split in January 2004. But if looks are to be believed, Jenny From the Block may have a new rock soon.
