Sophie Turner Supports Blake Lively After She Shared Her Post-Baby Body Insecurities

Queens, mothers, icons.

Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner took to Instagram Stories on Sunday, January 31, to support Blake Lively after she opened up about post-baby body insecurities.

“Yes @BlakeLively one more time for the people in the back!!!” Turner wrote, sharing a post from E! about Lively. She also added a sticker that said “Not a queen, a Khaleesi,” a reference to the Mother of Dragons on her hit HBO fantasy show. Lively added the post to her own Stories, writing, “Queen of the North everyone," tagging Turner with the prayer hands emoji and adding a GIF of King Joffrey choking on poison…surrounded by hearts!

Turner and her husband, Joe Jonas, welcomed their first child, Willa, in July 2020. No one supports a mom like a mom.

In her original post about insecurities, Lively shared a picture of herself appearing on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon in January 2020 and wrote, “I put together a @lanvinofficial shirt and dress from @netaporter to make this pretty outfit. Because no one had samples that fit me after giving birth. And so many clothes from stores didn't fit either. So. Many.”

The fashionista, who famously does not use a stylist, continued, “It doesn't send a great message to women when their bodies don't fit into what brands have to offer. It's alienating and confusing. And I wish I felt as confident as I do now, a year later looking back. That body gave me a baby. And was producing that baby's entire food supply. What a beautiful miracle. But instead of feeling proud, I felt insecure. Simply because I didn't fit into clothes. How silly is that in retrospect.”

Silly perhaps, but only too relatable. Now if only the entire fashion industry would catch up to Turner and Lively, we could all dress ourselves without the added headache of massive insecurity!
