The 7 Spring Trends I've Spotted All Over Instagram

See, read about, and shop eight spring trends that have popped up on our Instagram feeds.

Ahead of every season, we do our best to forecast all the trends that will make it big and show up in stores, online, and on your IG feeds. I'd like to think we do a pretty good job at it, but it's inevitable that no matter how much we scan through the runways from each fashion month, there's always a few items that we didn't see coming but are still totally here for. To pinpoint exactly the fashion girls are gravitating to towards the season, I took a scroll through Instagram to find the spring trends being worn IRL, some off the runways, and some anew that are gaining steam quickly.

While the previous years consisted of trends that prioritized basics and neutrals, it's looking a little different this time around. Think fun prints, bright colorways, and vintage-era silhouettes making a comeback. But don't be alarmed, there's an option for every style in this mix. Just keep scrolling to see, read about, and shop all six trends for yourself.

Retro Prints

Pops of neon, large florals, and contrasting colors are the defining tones for prints that are being worn right now. If it looks like straight out it could've came out of a vintage market, then you've nailed the trend.

Corsets

Despite our lack of going out and attending events, fashion girls are still bringing the extra-ness to the table with risque items like bustiers and corsets.

Checkered

We predicted in our seasonal round-up that this would be the go-to print of the new year, and we're happy to report that it's building up on the fashion scene. It's a little more exciting than stripes or polka dots but still easy to style around.

Polo Top

it's a running joke that there's a category of fashion trends that are just coming from dad's and grandpa's closets. Sweater vests were the rising dad trend of fall, but for spring polo collars in all kinds silhouettes are the preppy trend following suit.

Loafers

As we begin to (slightly) let go of our socks and slippers, we're not jumping to platforms yet, but loafers are a good medium ground. A simple scroll through Instagram will make you want to add Prada's pair to your cart immediately—but for those on a budget there's plenty of other options too.

Tied Tops

My fellow editor Lauren told us that this skin-baring trend was going to be trickling into the fashions scene, but even then we still weren't ready. Wraparound ties around on the midriff are popping up in sweaters, blouses, and even swimwear.

Greens

The S/S 2021 runways brought down a plethora of bright colors, but shades of green continue to reign on the fashion set. Whether it's sage, emerald, or neon, the hue can do no wrong.
