The Best-Dressed Stars at the 2021 CMT Awards

Neon was the big trend of the night.

The CMT Awards returned in 2021 on June 9 for a show to celebrate the best stars in country music right now. Big names attending include hosts Kelsea Ballerini and Kane Brown, while Carrie Underwood (who took home two trophies) also made an appearance at the live event. The energy this year felt big, too: The CMT Awards aired a pre-taped show in 2020 due to the pandemic; last night's award show was in person, giving viewers live performances and fashion moments on the red carpet in Nashville.

Underwood in particular rocked multiple looks deserving of a red-carpet moment. She was there to perform “I Wanna Remember," but the “Jesus, Take the Wheel” singer also won for Collaborative Video of the Year and Video of the Year with John Legend for "Hallelujah." Underwood is currently the most awarded artist in CMT history, and the wins gave Legend his first CMT award.

But as much as the impressive music from the night has people talking, so do the best-dressed stars at the 2021 CMT Awards. Keep scrolling for our top picks.

The singer-songwriter always tops our best-dressed lists, and this time is no different. Here she wears a see-through Valentino dress, shades, and rhinestone boots.

The big winner of the night turned heads in a dress almost as bright as the stage lights. It's a good color to keep in mind for your summer reemergence wardrobe.

Points to Ingrid Andress for this sparkly suit by Georges Chakra. The sequined number is paired with Sarah Flint shoes and Nicole Rose jewelry.

Another neon hit! We're sensing a trend. The Texas native also matched her Brandon Maxwell gown to her shoes, and we're loving it with the pop of teal eyeshadow.

Pearce is wearing an Ines Di Santo outfit that is giving us Clueless vibes, but we don't have much else to say about this look. We're too busy staring at her adorable pup's bow tie.

This hot pink-and-black Maria Lucia Hoha dress, seen here on comedian Iliza Shlesinger, is certainly an eye-catching moment for any red carpet. And the neon trend continues!
