After being cooped up inside for nearly a year, those house shoes and slippers that I once cherished are starting to take a backseat to designer high heels.

Still, with nowhere to go, I’m finding pure joy in the act of slipping my toes into a stiletto, even if it’s just to teeter back and forth from my kitchen to the living room. Not just any old high heel, of course. As of late, I’ve taken all the funds that would have gone to taxi rides and meals out and have fully splurged on an all-star roster of investment heels—like Amina Muaddi’s signature curved stilettos. Now that I think about it, I guess I’ve been subconsciously preparing for all of my post-quarantine revenge outfits.
