These Pics of Kate Middleton on a Farm Petting Sheep Are Oddly Comforting

This is where I'm at today.

I'm just going to level with you all: I'm stressed beyond belief, and these photos of Kate Middleton petting sheep on a farm are all I have.

OK, that's an exaggeration, but hey, things are hard these days. We're still in the middle of a pandemic, but there are some silver linings: The world is slowly but surely getting vaccinated, summer is coming, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were just photographed petting some sheep, which is delightful and bringing me some much-needed peace. The royal outing took place on Tuesday, April 27, and you can check out some shots, below.

Suddenly, I'm on the English countryside, crouched down in a pair of chic jeans and boots, petting a sheep. My problems have melted away. It's just me and this sheep and my boots.

Yes, thank you, I'd like to stay here forever. I want to leave New York, move to this farm, and never look back.

The childlike wonder and joy in this photo. Send these vibes to every corner of the planet.

Per People, this is Kate Middleton and Prince William's first royal excursion outside of London since their train tour in December 2020. The engagement is coming on the heels of Prince Philip's funeral, which took place Saturday, April 17.

My grandfather’s century of life was defined by service—to his country and Commonwealth, to his wife and Queen, and to our family,” Prince William wrote on the Kensington Palace Instagram. “I feel lucky to have not just had his example to guide me, but his enduring presence well into my own adult life – both through good times and the hardest days. I will always be grateful that my wife had so many years to get to know my grandfather and for the kindness he showed her.”
