I will admit that there are dozens of TikTok audios that live in my head rent-free. One of those audios states, "who wants to look simple when you can look stunning?" That simple sentence is constantly on repeat in my head and when I started noticing plissé fabrics pop up more and more in the market, I realized this trend is a perfect example of my new favorite phrase. Plissé treatments give a finely pleated or crinkled appearance to the fabric making it rich in texture and, well, ten times more stunning. Be it a button-down or a simple pair of pull-on pants, opting for said basics in plissé will ensure your look reads always stunning, never simple.

The recent influx of plissé was too notable for me to not report on so it is with further ado that I present to you the very best plissé pieces on the market right now. Featuring the Cult Gaia pieces I'm sure you're already familiar with, the Nanushka set I can't seem to get out of my head, and much more, the roundup ahead is filled with basics that somehow don't look basic at all thanks to this striking fabric treatment.
