Watch BTS Break the Internet at the 2021 Grammys

Light it up like dynamite!

Whenever BTS appears at an awards show, it's an event, and the Grammys 2021 ceremony was no exception. The blockbuster boy band broke the internet with an incredible performance of their hit song, “Dynamite.”

Dressed impeccably in black, white, and orange suits, the singers showed off the dancing and vocal skills that have made them a global sensation. They even rebuilt the Grammys stage since they could not be in Los Angeles for the live event—such commitment!

Go ahead and watch a clip of the BTS Grammy 2021 performance, below, then we can discuss.

BTS was nominated at the Grammys 2021 tonight for “Dynamite” in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category. It's the band's first major Grammy nomination—they were previously nominated for Best Recording Package for the Love Yourself: Tear artwork—and their reaction to the news back in November was so good:

"[Attending] truly was an honor," BTS told Paper about first going to the Grammys in 2019. "We were happy to be invited as presenters to such a big show, with such great musicians. We also became members of the Recording Academy this year. We hope to be invited to the show next year, as well."

I have a feeling this Grammy nom will be the first of many for BTS. When asked by Paper what kind of music they'd like to do next, the group had varying answers. “I want to try something in the genre of rock,” Jin said. “I think it will come out great because our members are pretty charismatic.”

Meanwhile, RM added, “I want to show our various sides that reflect the progression of our age as well as our emotions and sensibilities.”

But J-Hope had perhaps the best answer: “Now it feels like BTS is just BTS. Whichever [style of] music or performance, it comes out in BTS style.”

Whatever the case, I can't wait to hear what BTS does next. “It's an honor that people around the world love our music and messages,” the group collectively told Paper. “It seems like there's no language barrier. We think that ARMY helped us spread our music across the world. All of this would have not been possible without ARMY.”
